Terms and Conditions

This page sets out the terms and conditions you need to be aware of.  Please take a moment to read them as they set out your rights and obligations.

  • If the client is under the age of 16 years old, a parent, guardian, or other person acting in the place of a parent must provide consent. A young person aged 16 years or over can provide consent as if they were an adult.

If you are under the age of 16 years, you must get your parent/legal guardian to complete the forms with you.

Once you have completed the new client or referral form for a free 20 minute phone consultation, you will be contacted by phone and/or email you provided. Sessions can only start once we have agreed coaching is right for you and you have completed the necessary client forms.

Coaching is completely voluntary. If you wish to disengage with Food Freedom Coach, we expect clear communication in session online, over the phone, or in a written email outlining your reasons why and if you intend on engaging in any other support.

The Coach has the right to refuse sessions at any stage of treatment.

  • Coaching is confidential. Any notes taken are stored in a password protected document. Clients can request to see their notes at any time.

There are certain limits to confidentiality when there is enough information for the Coach to believe the client is at risk, such as rapid weight loss, physical health concerns, or at risk of suicidal ideation or self harm. If the Coach believes they have reasonable concern, they will contact your GP, the Police, the crisis team, an emergency contact you provided, or the regional Mental Health Team.

Your Coach receives regular clinical supervision, to promote quality and ethical services. No identifying details are exchanged in clinical supervision unless an emergency requires.

  • While the Coach will try to be flexible to meet your needs with regards to times of appointments, text messages and phone calls, it will be your responsibility to attend the session on time. This will be fixed in advance at a mutually convenient time. As technology is not always reliable, it is advisable that you are ready in advance to start the session on time.

Please note that the Coach will start at the designated time and wait in the meeting for 15 minutes after the session has started, unless there has been notice of either party running late and a later start time has been agreed upon. Failure to come within that time, will be considered a no-show and will be considered a session under our cancellation policy. An email or text message will be sent to notify you that the meeting has closed.

We expect invoices to be paid before sessions commence, unless agreed otherwise.

    Monthly Packages

Payments for Monthly packages are due once per month, occurring every 4 weeks, beginning on the week of the Initial Assessment. Subsequent payments are expected to be made monthly or every 4 weeks thereafter. In the event of a missed session, the Cancellation Policy outlined below will be enforced. Sessions can not be carried over to the next month, unless agreed otherwise.

  • You are required to give at least 24 hours notice of amendment/cancellation of a session without which the session will be deemed cancelled. There is a 100% charge of full fee for no attendance without any notice (with the exception of an emergency). There is a 50% charge of full fee for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice of appointment and no charge for cancellations or amendments with more than 24 hours notice. We understand that emergencies can happen, but we request consideration from you so that the time allocated can be utilised for somebody else.

  • The Coach can provide the services outlined on the website for eating disorders, anxiety and general wellbeing concerns. Other mental illness or long-term addictions need to be referred to your GP, medical team and/ or Community Mental Health Team.

Coaches work alongside their clients, collaboratively. One size does not fit every situation so understanding the specifics of your circumstances helps us to help you.

  • It is important to engage in respectful communication with the Coach at all times. This applies to all email and written communication as well. Any disrespectful, inappropriate or unacceptable comments on the website or any other social media platform will be deleted. Any such behaviour could mean that Food Freedom Coach could terminate the services of the Client with immediate effect and ask the client to leave the social media in question.

Any issue that may arise should be brought directly to the attention of your Coach.

Please let the Coach know if you have any concerns or are unhappy with the service you are receiving. If we can do better, we certainly would want to know how. We know that not everything or everyone suits everybody; we won’t be offended.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms and conditions, you must advise us before commencing the Coaching services.
